Trestle Bike Park has three weeks left, on a shorter schedule

Monday September 7 was the last day of the full daily summer schedule at Winter Park Resort, ten or twelve minutes up the road from us. From September 8 through September 27, the base activities run Friday through Sunday only, and the list shrinks to the Alpine Slide and the putting course. The scenic gondola keeps running daily, 10am to 5pm.

The bike park is in better shape than that makes it sound. Trestle Bike Park lifts run daily, 10am to 5pm, right through the last day of the season on September 27. What ended was the late riding. The Friday and Saturday lifts that ran until 6:30pm, and the Trestle Twilight window, both wrapped on September 6. So there are three good weeks left, just no evening laps.

The weather is doing its part. After a cloudy Labor Day with a high near 73 and a slight chance of afternoon storms, the forecast calls for sun Tuesday through Friday with highs of 74 to 75, roughly seven degrees above a typical September here, and overnight lows near 40. Storm chances come back Saturday afternoon. Pack a layer for the first lift anyway, because those mornings start cold.

If you have been meaning to get a lift-served bike weekend in this year, these are the last three.
