Week of August 31, 2026
The last full week of the summer schedule
This is the final stretch of the mountain running its full summer schedule. The scenic gondola, the Alpine Slide, the putting course, and disc golf all run daily from 10am to 5pm through Monday, September 7. The resort says it is open seven days a week including all holidays, so the holiday Monday is a normal operating day up there.
Trestle Bike Park holds its Friday and Saturday lifts open until 6:30pm through September 6, which makes Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th the last two evenings of late riding this year. From September 8 the lifts drop to 10am to 5pm daily and stay there until the season ends on September 27. The base activities thin out that same day: Alpine Slide and putting course only, Friday through Sunday, with the gondola still running daily.
If the national park is on your list for the long weekend, Trail Ridge Road is open to through travel right now, and timed entry reservations are required from 9am to 2pm. The Grand Lake entrance is about 33 miles from town, a real day trip.
Nothing yet on winter. The resort's hours page still lists the 2026 to 2027 opening as soon as possible, with no date attached. The forecast calls for sunny days in the mid to upper 70s through Thursday, well above the typical upper 60s for September, storm chances Friday through Labor Day, and nights near 40, so pack a layer.
