Week of August 27, 2026
The last late ride of the summer is Saturday
Trestle Bike Park has been holding its lifts open until 6:30 on Friday and Saturday evenings since June 19. That wraps up this Saturday, August 29. From Sunday on, the lifts run 10am to 5pm every day instead, right through the final day of the season on September 27. If an evening lap has been on your list all summer, this is the weekend to take it.
The rest of the mountain steps down on its own timeline. The scenic gondola, the Alpine Slide, the putting course, and disc golf all run daily from 10am to 5pm through September 7. Starting September 8, the Alpine Slide and putting course move to Friday through Sunday only. Midweek September gets quiet up here, which is either the downside or the whole point, depending on what you came for.
Down in the valley, the Fraser River gauge at Winter Park read 6.28 cubic feet per second at 6 this morning. The Fraser is a Colorado Gold Medal fly fishery, and mid September through mid October is one of its better windows, so the quiet weeks are not empty ones. Tonight, the High-Note Market sets up at 5:30 on US 40 in Winter Park, with music from 6 to 8.
One practical note before you go: the resort says its hours are subject to change with weather and conditions, so it is worth a look the morning you ride.
