Fraser Valley Distilling is the midweek plan this week
Fraser Valley Distilling on Zerex Street is open Wednesday through Saturday, which makes it the most dependable midweek plan in town right now. It has been a family run distillery, restaurant and bar since 2018, distilling its own spirits behind a scratch kitchen. Four days a week is the shoulder season talking, so build an evening around it rather than driving up and hoping.
The weather is the other reason to come. The forecast calls for highs of 67 to 71 Monday through Saturday, overnight lows of 33 to 39, and a chance of rain showers arriving Sunday. The October norm here is a high near 55, so this is a warm, dry stretch landing in the quietest week of the year. There is no snow anywhere in the seven day forecast.
Nothing is lift served at the moment. Trestle Bike Park's own hours page now reads closed for summer 2026, after a season that ran June 12 to September 27, and the ski lifts do not turn again until late October at the earliest. Last season did not open until October 31. So this is a week for the valley floor instead.
There is more down here than you would think. The aspens are in the last stretch of their mid September to mid October window, the Fraser River is running low and clear, and on Friday evening Cozens Ranch in Fraser hosts a free talk, "Getting Here Was Half the Adventure," on the wagon roads and stagecoach lines that first brought people into Grand County. One honest warning: call ahead on any restaurant you are counting on this time of year, because plenty of them trim hours while locals take a break.
