We're Gabe and Kari.

We're Gabe and Kari, and we've owned this A-frame since 2012. Our family lives in Denver, and our two daughters have grown up coming here every chance we all get, ski weekends and quiet ones alike. Gabe is a Colorado native. Kari grew up in small-town Iowa and has called Colorado home for 18 years. Together we know this place the way you know somewhere you actually spend time, not just manage from a distance. Winter

Winter Park Resort anchors the season, 171 trails across two mountains and about 344 inches of snow a year. The tubing hill is right in town, no long drive required.

Summer

Summer means Trestle Bike Park's 40-plus miles of lift-served trail, the Fraser River Trail for an easy 13.6-mile walk or ride, and long evenings that do not need a jacket.

Fall

Aspens turn gold from mid-September to mid-October, best seen on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park, about 33 miles north. Quieter trails, cooler air, and the crowds thin out.

Spring

Late April through May is mud season, plain and simple. Lifts stop, Trestle is not open yet, and the valley gets quiet enough that the cabin feels entirely yours.
